Release: Black Market BabyBlack Market Baby: Out next on Dr. Strange is one of Washington D.C.'s finest from the early 80's: Black Market Baby. It's in the works right now. Tom Lyle of Government Issue has done the mastering and John Stabb (Government Issue) is doing the liner notes. This will be a great discography. It's "official" release date is January 10th but YOU (since we' re good friends) will be able to get it as soon as WE get it (late November?) Check this site for more info: http://www.senselessofferings.com/ You can now check out a couple songs for free as well as see the cover art. http://www.drstrange.com/info/label.php This is for fans of the early D.C. scene: Minor Threat, Government Issue (old Dischord style). You will love it! Here are a couple remarks Henry Rollins and Ian MacKaye~ "Black Market were a great band and enormously important to many of us in the early D.C. scence" -Ian MacKaye " I had forgotten how damn good Black Market Baby was. I used to see them play all the time in D.C. and they were always great. This cd really proves it. This is what reissues and labels like Dr. Strange are all about. Nice one!" -Henry Rollins From Boyd (singer) We were officially formed in 1980...Man, we have played with everyone!! It's more like who haven't we played with... Ramones (5 times, we opened for them in NYC too),Dead Kennedys, Fear The Stranglers, DOA, X , Bad Brains, Minor Threat, Scream, GI, Iron Cross, UK Subs,GBH, 999, Johnny Thunders, Dead Boys, Motorhead, Flipper, The Misfits, Suicidal Tendencies, Agent Orange, Agnostic Front, DRI, The Descendants, The Meatmen, The Plasmatics etc.,etc....That's just off the top of my head.
