If you could see any band play live, either of the past or > present who would it be?

I'd love to have seen the Stooges.

What is the first gig you ever went to?

When I was about fifteen years old I got taken on a school trip to see Steeleye Span!

What is the Punk/Oi scene like in your area?

I live in London, where punk music has pretty much been swallowed whole by the music business.

What question would you like to be asked in interviews, but you are never asked? And what is your answer?

I'd like to be asked "what is the best sentence you have ever heard, that someone has managed to get into a song's lyrics.

What is the best sentence you have ever heard, that someone has managed to get into a song's lyrics?

Good Lord! "Never drive a car when you're dead" - Tom Waits.

What is the best gig you have ever done and who else was on the line-up?

I have good memories from a lot of gigs. These days playing solo gives me a great deal of satisfaction, but I suppose the greatest memories of gigs I have are from the punk era because the audience was so great and there was always a real sense of something exciting happening. I'll nominate the entire Damned/Adverts tour from 1977.

Plans, gigs and releases planned for 2000.

I'm working on two new records at the moment: a new solo album which I hope to complete later in the year, and a four track EP with a Finnish punk band called Punk Lurex OK which I hope to get released here very soon.

Any final comments?
