4ft Fingers
22/10/2002 (interview with Rob)

Please give a brief history of the band, including current line up.

To cut a long story short we all met at school apart from Dougie who we met when I was working for a pizza place and so was Doug and he just ended up being part of the gang.

Rob - Lead Guitar and Vocals
Tom - Guitar and Vocals
Dave - Drums
Dougie - Bass and Vocals

We have two albums but it's all on our website

Why did you choose the name and what other names of bands that are about do you like?

The guys took the piss out the size of my hands (I have huge hands). There are too many band names of to think of a few but loads are well funny even better if you know why they have that name.

What is the best gig you have played and who else was on the line-up?

It was us, the Mad Caddies and Snuff a few years back in Cheltenham.

Tell everyone about the ska/skate/punk thing - how does it all fit in with more traditional punk?

Well it all stems from old stuff but I ain't going in to detail cos theres always a few people how hate old school or the other way round. Plus I'd be here for days. I'd like to think we do a bit of both and we have a very British sound which a lot of bands in England lack these's days if you ask

If you could see any band play live, either of the past or present who would it be?

The Ramones.

What is the first record each member of the band ever bought?

We can't really remember but we reakonit's iron maiden for most of us

What is the Punk/ska scene like in your area?

Real good, when we played the town hall there were about 600 people.

Plans, gigs and releases planned for 2002/03.

Just tour the new album, and try a crack at Europe.

Any final comments?

Check out our web for any info www.4ftfingers.com and keep the punk rock faith (and go burn all copies of the so called chat punks busted!!!). What the fuck is that all about some one tell me!!!
