Saturday 21 July

Milton Keynes, Blacksmiths Arms

Slow Faction + Who Killed Nancy Johnson? + Blank Screen + Thrift Street

The unofficial warm up show for MK11's summer of punk, featuring... Slow Faction: 1st generation-influenced punk band with a real London 77 sound. Politically-charged songs with big hooks and choruses, with a live show that has been described as a cross between The Clash and The Buzzcocks. Who Killed Nancy Johnson: Punk/post-punk band from Reading with a ferocious live show. "Quite unique... pour out a huge amount of energy... if you get the chance, go see ’em" - Plasma MTV. Blank Screen: Short, sharp, anarchic punk rock from Nottingham and Leicester. In the tradition of Bad Brains, NOFX, Motorhead, The Clash, Ramones, Dead Kennedys, Rancid. Thrift Street: Northampton-based pop punk band. Infectious choruses and pessimistic lyrics on modern society - exactly the cliche you'd expect from three guys in their early 20s.
